Some two hours away from Potosi I found myself in the rather charming white washed town of Sucre...
Here, I continued my quest (in trying) to learn Spanish (....and as most things...) going to school in Bolivia is far more "economically friendlier" than some of its neighbouring countries. (...although now it seems I just spend the remainder of my money on 4 course meals and the ability to stroll around naked in my own private room).
These factors and the rather pleasant spring like weather kept me in Sucre for a couple of weeks (...it also gave me some rather groovy vest shaped "white bits").
I´d also (unintentionally) arrived during the towns annual "fiesta", a street carnival celebrating the Virgin Mary (or something)...
(...great if you have a penchant for shiny costumes and repetitive brass bands)
(...although in my case...even better drinking beer at the same time).
MAXIMUM RESPECT TO THE MARY...
After that I tried some of that "trekking"...
(although I´m still trying to establish the difference between "hiking" and "trekking"?...
... I assume the later is the one where you sleep in a tent and carry a rather heavy bag for 3 days).
As great as learning, rambling, and brass bands are...it was all a bit too sensible for my liking so I´m off to La Paz to try some of that "caining" instead...
