Generally lifeless, "Cenotes"...a cavern (or sinkhole) filled with a body of water (or in the case of
this sinkhole..."bad urban engineering") were one of the attractions of the Yucatan Peninsula (the others happened to be more Mayan ruins, white sandy beaches and some tequilla hangovers)
...Turns out exploring tunnels, swimming through small dark holes and the visual effects of haloclimes can be pretty fun.
