Backed by rugged countryside and surrounding (the somewhat) glistening lake Pichola... it´s easy to see why Colonel James Tod (East India Company, 1829) dubbed Udaipur "the most romantic spot on the Indian Continent".
After visiting is Palace (perhaps the 4th or 5th in the past couple of weeks?)... I was feeling well and truly "fortified"...
Rajasthan (deservedly nicknamed)... "The land of Kings".
