...it was all a bit "Apocalypse Now"...
(...exactly like Apocalypse now but without "all the death" and more ice cream).
Rurrenbaque... half an hour flight from La Paz found me in the tree filled interior of the continent ....a good base where to arrange trips into the Jungle and the wetlands of the Beni Region. The wetlands (or "the pampas") involved a lot of us sitting in a boat (pushing it) and observing wildlife bathe and drink whereas in the Jungle we learned about plants and looked for insects
(although one particular guide kept making us eating trees whilst explaining their (supposed) medicinal values).
I saw some animals, plants and insects
(I later saw some insects burried inside me...)
