Pulling into Tiruchirappalli (thankfully abbreviated to "Trichy") at night was reminiscent of the opening credits of Midnight Cowboy (...maybe that or I hadn't seen neon signs for while).
Eitherway its a big ol´ hunk of place and it had no problem showing it off.
Apart from the glitz and glam surrounding the bus station Trichy had a couple of must-see temples and from what I could tell from the numerous bars.... liked a good drink.
Ok.. it wasn´t nearly as seedy as I´m making out (... first impressions) but I wasn´t sticking around for long... although not after a quick trip to the Cinema to check out (a rather terrible but none the less amusing) Tamil produced action-comedy-dance off motion picture.
