Heath Cliff

A couple hours south of Alleppey I found myself in Varkala... a small beach town with the hub of its accommodations/restuarants and tourist tat perched on its looming cliffs.

This was a place where the "patients" of high end Ayervedic resorts would rub shoulders with Indian tourists on the beach and enjoy multicusine on the cliffs at night.

Varkala was unashamedly touristy but I breezed through 4 days filling in my time with Yoga, boogie boarding  (... all fueled by the wholegrain goodiness of its brown bread).
