People (Seasoned India backpackers mainly) tell me that Mumbai is a great place to ease yourself into Indian Culture...
Well if this is the diet version then I forecast some spazzy tourist shenanigans a plenty... this place... the people... is...are.... downright bonkers.... and I think its properly good.
After running around for a couple of days box ticking and devouring delicious unidentifiable foods I decided that I should leave and "save some for later"... just so to delight at the comparison for myself.
Props to "Dangerous" Andy Johnson for his recommendation - managed to squeeze in a top notch tour of Dharavi, a slum and home to over a million people...a city within a city. No pictures allowed (unfortunately) but snapshots and info can be found here.
