Agraphobia

Agra, home of the namesakes Fort, The Taj Mahal and some inter-family beef...

This chap .. Shah Jahan (emperor of the Mughal Empire 1628-1658) had a wife (Empress Mumtaz Mahal) who bared him 14 children over 18 years (...the last unfortunately killing her).

Upset, he decided to build a monument in her memory - 20,000 workman busted their asses for 22 years to complete it and was finally finished in 1643.

This monument of course was the Taj Mahal.

Some years later (1658)... his (cheeky) son Aurangzeb sucessfully overthrew him and then slung him in jail (nearby Agra Fort)... not (of course) without making sure that he had a wonderful view of his creation from "inside"...

A couple of centuries later an enthusiastic traveler from the defunct British Empire arrived and made markings on a nearby wall....

Agra... a very pleasant "box-ticking" exercise.
